Moving Forward.

It’s an honor to serve as a member of the Pleasant Grove City Council. Over the past several years, I’ve worked to strengthen our community, improve quality of life, support economic development, prioritize public safety, and secure more funding for our roads and infrastructure. Since 2015, we’ve increased road project funding from $289,000 to over $11.5 million.

I’m proud of the progress we’ve made, but I know there’s still more work to be done. I’m committed to continuing to serve our community, helping make Pleasant Grove an even better place to live, and being a resource for our residents. I’m always eager to listen, answer questions, and work together to move our city forward.

Thank you,

Eric Jensen

Meet Eric Jensen

With Pleasant Grove’s strong tradition and history behind us, we are moving forward to secure the best future for the upcoming generations. I have always strived to ensure our city services are secure and committed to this vision so we can count on them in the future.

I have lived in Pleasant Grove for 34+ years and currently serve on the Pleasant Grove City Council. Serving this city is about being the voice for you and giving back to this amazing community. My knowledge and experiences on the City Council, Planning Commission, Downtown Advisory Board, City Committees, Discovery Park, Choose Kindness, and many others have allowed me to see the tireless efforts of those making Pleasant Grove a tremendous community.

My Priorities

Roads + Infrastructure

Infrastructure has been a priority for the past 4+ years and will continue to be. The city has focused on key services such as roads, water, secondary water, sewer, and storm drains. We must always be focused on sustainable and maintainable services for our city.

This year, and the past 2-3+ years, the city has some significant road & service projects. We have spent millions ($11.5+million this year, 4.5+ million the previous year) and will continue with 8.5+ million in projects next year.

Economic Growth

As we see our continued growth in our wonderful city, we must always be mindful of all these key services and how we can plan growth to achieve sustainable development that balances community well-being, economic energy, and maintainable services.

Pro-business means a healthy Pleasant Grove.

I will continue to be a strong voice for our economic development, growing our sales tax base and providing an “open for business” climate that will bring in strong jobs, retail and commercial.

Public Safety

I’ve consistently supported our public safety by providing needed funding, voting for facilities, collaborating with our public safety departments, engaging the community in safety education, and promoting competitive wages. These efforts contribute to creating a secure and safe community for all residents, and i take pride in our Public Safety and their accomplishments.

Quality of Life

As we see our continued growth in our wonderful city, we must always be mindful of all our key services. We must plan our growth wisely to achieve sustainable development that balances community well-being, public safety, economic energy, and maintainable services.

Quality of life is often mentioned as to why some people choose to live in a city. Citizens look to factors like job opportunities, retail, quality schools, parks, recreation programs, and outdoor activities in their communities as key factors. Pleasant Grove is continually ranked as one of the safest cities in our state, and quality of life is thanks to our public safety men and women.
